FEED Conference promises to captivate attendees in year two

Grand Bahama Port Authority and Group of Companies (GBPA) has joined forces with Alternative Dispute Resolution Bahamas (ADR Bahamas) to host the Freeport Economic Empowerment Development (FEED) Conference on February 27th at Keen i Media Centre. The one-day event will bring Grand Bahama’s business community together with national and international speakers to spark conversation on how best to drive the island’s economy forward.

Now in its second year, FEED Conference is devoted to spreading ideas and broadening the vision of business operators and residents on Grand Bahama through powerful talks and thought-provoking discussions on business trends, finance, as well as economic empowerment.

Event coordinators hope the conference will deliver the “intellectual food” necessary to stimulate the minds of business owners, would-be entrepreneurs and residents with interests in a range of industries. They seek to accomplish this by giving attendees the opportunity to connect with renowned thought leaders and business professionals at home and abroad to discuss best practices, essential resources, new concepts, economic trends and growth strategies.

“We have a lot in store for the Grand Bahama community. We’re going to dissect Freeport’s economy on a micro-level, explore our major challenges, and put forth demonstrable solutions concerning what we should be doing on a macro-level to see measurable economic opportunity and growth,” GBPA Senior Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Kimberley Miller said.

This year’s featured presenters include Reno Miller, arbitrator and mediator; Josh Schrager, founder and CEO of ThinkRite; Jason Hunter, senior global consultant for the Blue Ocean Strategy Network; Dr. Donovan E. Moxey, president and CEO of Integrated Business Solutions, and Paul Cannings Jr, managing partner of RPH Consulting Agency.

General admission for the conference is $100. As seating for the event is limited, registration is encouraged by visiting events.gbpa.com/feedconference or the GBPA Headquarters.
