GBPA Champions Youth Entrepreneurship at 3rd Annual BOSS CLUB Summer Camp  

The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (GBPA) proudly supported the 3rd Annual BOSS CLUB Youth Entrepreneurial Summer Camp, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing the entrepreneurial talents of the island’s youth. The camp, attended by nearly 50 aspiring young entrepreneurs, offered a robust curriculum that imparted essential business skills and knowledge.

Nicole Colebrooke, Customer Relations Manager at GBPA, delivered a presentation on the simplicity of the business licensing process, emphasizing the numerous benefits available to licensees within the Port Area. Her insights aimed to equip students with the understanding needed to navigate the business licensing and startup process successfully.

Shemia Williams, CEO of BOSS CLUB, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, stating, “The continued support of The Grand Bahama Port Authority Limited has been instrumental in advancing our mission to cultivate entrepreneurial skills among students from grades 6 through 12. Their involvement since day one enriched our program, allowing us to equip young adults with the tools necessary for business success.”

LaShawn Dames, GBPA Business Development Manager, commended the camp’s impact, remarking, “The BOSS CLUB Youth Entrepreneurial Summer Camp has significantly contributed to shaping the next generation of business leaders in its third year. The program’s focus on discipline, confidence-building, leadership, and financial literacy are vital for fostering well-rounded leaders of tomorrow.”

The camp’s curriculum covered various aspects of business management, concluding with a mini ‘Shark Tank’ competition where students presented their business ideas to a panel of judges.
